The Bold and the Beautiful

Necklaces! They are everywhere in every color and shape. But size must be big, and it must make a statement. For a while, I have been trying to find one that I really like to wear to work or just around. I often get dressed in a hurry and as I am walking out the door, I think hmmm, this outfit would be better if I had a really great necklace. I have hesitated with this trend because I don't usually like really big pieces of jewelry. I feel like though it can add something special and perhaps unusual to an old outfit. So I have begun my search, mostly online because I don't have that much time to drive from store to store. Here is what I have found

Maximizing your wardrobe

The suggestion of this blog for my personal shopping business website was made by a very good friend. This is my first attempt at blogging, but I hope to provide fashion tips, interesting ideas, and great places to find clothes, accessories and shoes to my clients, friends, and anyone who cares to read this.

The first trend of my blog and perhaps my favorite one for spring and summer is the MAXI DRESS. Whether it is a print, a solid, cotton, or silk I feel like it is a style that everyone can wear and enjoy. The dress is comfortable, but yet form fitting depending on the neckline and choice of fabric. For taller girls, it is a relief from the mini dress of the past few seasons. The maxi dress has come and gone out of style for several decades. Starting in the late 1960s, it was the antithesis of the mini dress and skirt that was all the rage. It became widely popular in the 1970s, and it disappeared in the 1980s. Now it is back, and there are more options than ever. I personally own a few, and I love to throw them on to run errands in the hot Southern summer. However, they are great to wear for an evening out with friends or to dinner. I think they are fun and easy, and you can throw them on with sandals as you run out the door. Below are a few that I could not resist sharing:

If the shoe doesn’t fit…return it for FREE!

Sandals lead me to my next suggestion. I love piperlime.com. The website is a great resource for anyone looking for any kind of shoes. The website is refreshing and very easy to order from and use. Shipping is free and so are returns (I speak with experience on this). I especially enjoy how the site is divided into sections. You can look at the latest trends, wedding shoes, office shoes, weekend shoes, etc. The website provides customers with a wide range of pricing from high end to very affordable yet still so stylish. They even provide a special section called “Real Steals” which are shoes that are all under $60. I feel like this is a convenient site for people who hate going to find shoes. With the free shipping and returns, it is easier to stay home in your pajamas! Below are some of my favs for spring and summer:
